| ENERGY MANAGEMENT BEMS Energy specialise in energy management of buildings, this is carried out by ensuring that all the building services plant is fully operational and by implementing an energy focussed strategy to the Building Management System (BMS). We offer a full in depth survey of all installed plant, lighting and other services. This survey allows our engineers to target areas where excessive consumption has been identified, we then offer quotations for reprogramming the BMS and for fitting other energy savings devices such as variable speed drives to fan motors.. The energy report issued will highlight these areas for improvement along with projected savings if our energy management is carried out. The total carbon emissions produced from the building will be highlighted and again the report will project the carbon reduction that could be possible from our energy management. BEMS Energy also offer long term energy management where will monitor the building use over a number of years, regular reports can then be issued detailing savings made per quarter, remote monitoring of your buildings ene rgy consumption through the BMS.
The scheme provides a financial incentive to reduce energy use by putting a price on carbon emissions from such use and also provides the opportunity for participants to make savings on energy bills through improved energy efficiency. In CRC, organisations buy allowances equal to their annual emissions. The overall emissions reductions achieved by the scheme will be determined by the emissions ‘cap’ on the total allowances available to CRC participants. Within the overall limit, individual organisations can determine the most cost-effective way to reduce their emissions. This could be through buying extra allowances or investing in ways to decrease the number of allowances they need to buy. |
BEMS Energy offers an extremely cost effective form of reducing the energy consumption and carbon emissions from buildings. Through the use of our Energy management techniques developed over the last 22 years. BEMS Energy would look at reducing your consumption without spending large amounts of capital on new energy efficient plant. Our expertise ensures that the plant that is installed is running as effectively as possible, and that the building is tightly controlled thereby reducing the energy consumption. F GAS BEMS Energy can also ensure that your site complies with current regulations such as F Gas and the Ozone Depleting Substances Regulations. We can carry out leak testing and subsequent repairs if required. BEMS Energy is able to carry out full leak testing of any refrigeration systems and issue a leak testing certificate for all items of plant that require leak testing. BEMS energy will set up a full F Gas site folder that covers all the required aspects of the Regulations including carrying out a full audit of the amount and type of refrigerant gases that are installed on your site.
We are also often used by consultants to carry out a "sense check" of what is really required on a BMS system. Manufacturers are keen to sell as much kit as possible, so we ensure that the optimum amount of equipment is installed to match the needs of the end client, while providing a cost effective solution. We can then carry out witness testing if required. Energy analysis can also be set up on systems that have the capability, and this may even included emailed or text message alarms if energy or critical plant alarms are detected. Energy metering by measured values, or virtual sensors (KW multiplied by hours run) is also a speciality. |
EPBD AIR CONDITIONING INSPECTION (TM44) ENERGY PERFORMANCE CERTIFICATES (EPC) DESPLAY ENERGY CERTIFICATES (DEC) The Energy Performance of Building Directive has resulted in a number of energy certificates that are required for buildings. Firstly any building that has an air conditioning system(s) over 12 Kilowatts must be inspected and issued with a report in accordance with CIBSE TM44. BEMS Energy is able to provide you with these reports for your buildings. Our CIBSE accredited inspector has a wealth of knowledge and experience within the Air Conditioning and Building Services industry. We believe that this experience, coupled with our in depth building controls knowledge allows for a uniquely detailed report that will be of great benefit to your organisation. This report will help to reduce the Carbon Footprint and the running costs of the building services plant. From October 2008 EPCs will be required whenever a building is built, sold or rented out. BEMS Energy is again able to provide you with the required Certificate to ensure that your building complies with all legalisation. Display Energy Certificates are only required for buildings with a total useful floor area over 1,000m2 that are occupied by a public authority or institution providing a public service to a large number of persons and therefore visited by those persons. They are valid for one year. The accompanying Advisory Report is valid for seven years. BEMS Energy is able to provide your building(s) with a DEC to ensure full compliance with the EPBD. |
